Design and style:
Razer Nostromo is nothing different but the modified and improved looking glossy variation of Belkin Nostromo N52. The whole perception of this product has come from Belkin and I think Razer quite possibly  obtained the patent with the whole project.
 
New Razer has added some more keys to help players deal with their macro issues plus it does not look like they are inserted closely either which is quite impressive.
Right above the wrist rest we have additional 4 keyboard keys.
Razer did an admirable job while distributing additional keys. They look like they belong in their places and the majority of them will probably be often used like the short space bar below directional pad and a white button above.
 
Probably a handful of you will remember the throttle wheel in old Belkin version ? If yes you will be thankful to hear that it  doesn’t exist in this Razer designed version and has now been replaced by a mouse scroll wheel. You can track down it in the prime position for your index finger.
 
I’ve come across much larger gamepads then Razer Nostromo and they had much less keys, so in that respect Razer did a great job and it should fit near to a keyboard on the desk.
 
Remember that here is the top line gampead and its very sturdy.
The one thing which actually surprised me at most was that during heavy gaming this gamepad didn’t even move by an inch. Yet not because its heavy, actually they attached a  rubber grips beneath the gamepad to halt it sliding around the desk.
 
Software extras:
Ok… lets go back to software because I said ill be talking about it later. In fact it gives many additional many advantages immediately after installing and ill try to indicate some most critical. Before I start II have to say that it has all I would expect form Razer product.  Lets see.
 
Nostromo gamepad features what they call shift states. I reckon that you earned some explanation here. Macros is all it is about in “shift state” system, it allowes to instantly by one key stroke to alter profiles macros saved earlier, and all that while playing game not even opening Razer software.
 
Brief summary:
All I can see is upsides of this gamepad. It is more receptive lighter and much better looking then a previous Belkin version. Razer Nostromo gamepad will be the best for first person shooter games but I bet that every one of you will discover it useful for any game you might come up with.
The best part is that you can use Nostromo not only for gaming, it is as benefitial for programs like photoshop.
 
The price is quite low considering the great product quality. I would recommend it to everyone because this is an excellent piece of hardware and every single gamer will appreciate its functionality and comfort of use .

Most comfortable keyboard I’ve used for a long time. It is tighter than any other keyboards I’ve seen and used … it makes even me with small hands to access more buttons! ^^ Unbelievably good!

Razer Marauder StarCraft II Gaming Keyboard

Ivy Bridge is the new generation of chips from Intel that combines CPU and GPU in a fast and power efficient solution. It will probably take a while before they come to market, maybe not be delivered before June.

Potential
Ivy Bridge is primarily designed for ultra-books, and will not necessarily compete with extra powerfull laptops that often have dedicated graphics solutions. That said, it’s very exciting to see how much better than Ivy Bridge is compared to today’s Sandy Bridge-based laptop.

The Chinese site Expreview shall have obtained an early version of the chipset and tested the performance of a variety of games. And the improvements are going to be realy noticeable.

Good results
All games ran in 720p resolution, and the biggest improvement was in Far Cry 2, which brought in 84.5% more frames per second. Other titles that Expreview tested, such as Left 4 Dead 2, StarCraft2 and DiRT 3, also ran noticeably better. On average, the performance was 56.2% or higher. That is of course promising to all who want an small ultrabook, but also will play video games.

Furthermore, GPU performance is also important in other tasks.

Thus there are good reasons to wait to buy a new laptop, Ivy Bridge seems to be worth the wait.

Q:
I have been playing strategy games since I was 7, starting with Aoe. I never played the first StarCraft but my friend told me if I enjoyed age of empires then I should get StarCraft2 when it came out and we could form an MLG team. Well I got it the week it came out and I was originally placed Gold for 4v4, silver for 2v2 and 3v3 and bronze for 1v1. My friend said that was fine but I should practice more, and get better because he was platinum/Diamond and he still wasn’t good enough for MLG. Well I practiced and eventually got demoted to bronze across the board. Seasons 1-3 I was all bronze for the majority of them. Then in season 4 I made silver in 4v4 and 2v2. Season 5 came and I got demoted to bronze all across except 3v3 which was silver. My friend is diamond in 3v3, 4v4 and 1v1 and is master in 2v2. How does he do it, how did he get better because ive played 600 games 400 of which as my main race(protoss) and there is hardly any improvement. Thanks.

Doesn’t sound like your changing your strategies after losses. For starters, save your replays and watch them. You may not want to watch yourself lose again, but it really helps, especially since you can see where you stand compared to your opponent.

A very long time ago I had a thread here on HP, which was about Warcraft 3 Editor and “map development”. If I remember correctly, there was a pretty big interest in the subject (larger than I expected.)

For some reason, why I do not remember, i downloaded WC3 a few years ago. Not long after that I got to play around with the SC2 editor and found it quite interesting.
